So Andrew wakes me up and tells me to bring my camera to his window to try and catch a bolt of lightning. There is only a small section of the sky visible and I have no tripod. The chances of catching lightning under these conditions is terrible at best. So I start to take a few shots, leaving the shutter open for 15 seconds at a time. First two shots are complete failure.
During the the last second of the third shot: Lightning flashes, shutter clicks.
Mission accomplished.
